12-15 October : Moors and Christians festival in El Campello
The Moors and Christians festival takes place in El Campello from the 12th to the 15th October , the fiesta is held in honour of the patron saint, the Mare de Déu dels Desemparats and takes place at the same time every year. The festival commemorates the capture of the city by the Moors and the Christian reconquest.
Let's dance “Paquito el chocolatero”.This song is a quintessential part of any Spanish celebration. It’s never missing at village festivals and you can even hear it and dance it at weddings.
We want to make an image gallery where our students can show you and talk about their photos of The Moors and Christians festival.
